Story for the day:
So I am working on a project with blonde hair fiber. Well as usual when I have a pile of hair that gets thick enough so that I can't see the surface of the desk, I automatically sweep it off with my hand (usually without looking). Well today, when I was about to sweep it off, as my hand was about an inch of the table surface, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the "blonde hair" move. As my eyes adjusted themselves, my hand pulled back, and I made the connection.... the "blonde hair".... was actually a yellow spider. I screamed... no wait... I squealed, jumped my arse about five feet away, squirming and dusting my shoulders off as if to get rid of the spider (who was actually still standing on the table... Waiting), it took me a few second to calm myself down and get this guy to go kill it. I was so freaked out. I couldn't get near that table for the rest of the day.
All I have to say is.. I'm not scared of the f'-ing spider. I was just caught off guard. Had it come to me head on... I would have shown it my shoe!-- Yeah! So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

if it makes you feel any better I, a big strong man, am afraid of spiders too. They freak me out. I often have bad dreams involving spiders. Yuck, so I totally feel for you, and oh yeah, I so believe that you could have killed it had it faced you head on, like umm, yeah.

Have never seen a yellow spider - and don't want to either !
As a child, I felt something on my arm, looked down and found a spider climbing up my arm. I went into orbit, flung my arm around until the spider went flying into space and have hated all spiders ever since.
That's the bad part about spiders - they're sneaky and don't go for the head on attacks !
