Phew... Non-Stop Weekend...

Phew.. what a weekend. I feel like a stranger on here tonight... I'm sure the feeling will pass as I tell all my weekend stories.... so let me warn you... this might be a long post...

So, Thursday night my friends took me out to dinner... bless their little hearts. We had a great meal... even better dessert... and awesome wine. We made friends with the weighter, who apparently is on the road to becoming a fire fighter. Really nice guy... when he carded us for the wine he made a comment about how we were the same age, both born in 80. So through out dinner, he is really funny, and friendly... he kept talking about partying and what we were upt this weekend... well right after dinner he brings over one of those Special Birthday sundaes along with a couple other weighters and starts singing... nice.... it's a good thing it was dark in there, because I KNOW I turned red. Well after the dessert, he brought over the check and placed it next to me... and said "I put my number in there so we can all hang out". I thought cool... great. This helps my theory of Friend Expansion (more on that theory on another post). Anyway... I said, sure, we'll let you know what we do.

Now Friday comes along, and Amy had to watch JP so she was busy, but Ivonne, and I headed over to Manhattan beach... it was nice... warm enough to wear jeans, tank top, and flipflops and be ok. We grabed a sandwich and a drink from Starbucks, and just sat in front of the Starbucks... people watching. I love people watching... it's great!
Saturday came along... it was good too. Big BBQ with the family and friends... everything went well until my nephew (whos is 13 btw) started throwing a major tantrum. His dad was of course no where to be found... he was at the grocery store, so my other brother had to deal with him. They started screaming at each other... nice little family dram displayed... in front of my friends... and couple of co-workers. Oddly enough.. I wasn't embarassed. I just said... "when you witness this... it just means you are part of the family!" LOL A few friends and I headed to Hermosa after that for some dancing.... that was fun. I ran into a friend from High School and we met up with Jose... the weighter from the restaurant. It all went well not too bad. After that we grabbed some Jack In The Box for the late LATE night snack... and headed to bed at 3am-respectibly!
Today was good too. I slept in and was awakend by Amy's frantic call about how there was a dead bird on their front door and wanted a shovel to remove it. Her and Arminda were freeked out, and would not leave there house until someone moved that bird. I laughed... because I told her I had to take shower before I stepped outside. Well I ran a few errands and before I new it, it was at least 3 hours after Amy had called... so my mom and I drove over to their place... and helped them get rid of the bird (which btw was more like a dead finch). It was funny to see them being hosteges in their own home to a dead bird! HA! After that fiasco... I went down to Hermosa and met up with Oaktree. We had dinner at Hennesseys Tavern... good food... a little loud... but good food! It was fun, we kinda just chatted about all sorts of things. It's funny how different his neck of the woods sounds compared to mine... I"ll have to head down there some day. Oaktree I had fun. Thanks for my Birthday Dinner! We should do it again soon. :)
Well now I am off to finish laundry, and get ready for work tomorrow. Luckily?! I have a training, so it takes me from my usual work load. :)

Till the next post!
