She's-uh My Birthday today.

Ever watched that episode of I Love Lucy, where she is in Italy (I believe) and she is celebrating her sons birthday, who is back in the US, and celebrates it with a bunch of Italian poor kids. Well one kid make up that it's his brithday because, he wants Lucy to buy him chocolate... so then he has a gang of like ten kids also claiming to be their birthdays because they want chocolate too. So then the guilt sinks in and all the kids give their chocolate back, because they know it's not their birthday... but there is one little girl, who refuses to give up her chocolate, because it's really her birthday. So her brother tells Lucy.
(in an Italian accent)
"Hey, what dooo u no, she's-uh really hur birfday today, too".
Well, anytime there is a birthday... I always think of this episode.
ANYWAY!
Thank You Shwan… Yes, today is my birfday.

So it is official! I am 26 years old. So all though I have been feeling crappy and out of sorts all week… I’ve decided to burry those feelings deep inside, and just embrace everything 26 has to offer.

My co-workers took me out to lunch. That was nice. One of them gave me advise, I must say… I will never forget. She said, “You will never look better than you look now”. GREEEEAAAAT! ;) GREAT!

Anyway… so my mom has BBQ planned for me on Saturday. She is too cute (sometimes), she even got up early and made me breakfast. Damn I wish I got that every day. So I think that one of the reasons I’ve been a little gloomy is because every birthday I’ve had… I’ve been single. No one to make a huge fuss over me being born (other than my mom and dad), no flowers, no special dinner… you know the whole 9 yards of “special” birthday celebration. Oh well…. I guess we’ll have to see what next year brings.

So let me reflect on my 25th Year of life.

It was ok.
I laughed a lot, I cried a bit, and I (think) I grew some (metaphorically speaking, that is). I must say it has been a busy year, with recent news of a life altering change from a close friend, my aunt and uncle divorcing, and a new baby in the family… I can only hope this coming year is just a tinsy bit brighter. Maybe… one more baby? A marriage proposal… hmmm… maybe even, my aunt and uncle getting back together? We’ll see.

Oh, and Shawn… unfortunately, I start school tonight… Economics. So all though, a drink would help me get through Econ quite well, I think I will have to save it for the weekend! I might even have more than 1! Thanks again ; )

I hope your day was great and save some ribs for me. Too funny, like I would fly to Cali for ribs, but I guess I just gave that joke away by explaining it. Hey 26 aint bad, wait until you hit 30, then the fun really starts. Later
