Three Day Weekends...
I LOVE three day weekends, just when you are getting through Sunday... BAM, you realize, there is one more day of fun and games.... and to make things even better, your up-coming work week, is a four day week! I love it.
Well I couldn't have asked for a better three days off. Saturday, I spent the day shopping. I hate shopping... at the mall at least. I am one of those people that when I need something, I know exactly where to look for it, and when I go to buy it, I go straight to get it, pay, and out the door. Well the only reason I didn't mind this shopping event, was because it worked out perfectly. I had a wedding to attend on Sunday (I Know, I know... who gets married on a Sunday right?), well I needed to get a dress and heels, because as I mentioned I rarely shop, so the clothe I have are jeans, tanktops, pumas, adidas... nothing too flashy, nothing too fashionable. Anyway, I was afraid that shopping for a dress, was going to be the end of me. Fortunately, it was not. I went to Macys on Saturday at about noon, tried on about 5 different dresses, and by 1:30... I had found a dress. Needless to say, I was a happy girl. This left me with the shoes. Now a sad fact, was that the "dressy" heels I own, were last worn for my highschool graduation... which was about 7 years ago... egh! What can I say, when I party, I definitely, don't wear heels!

Well after a few hours, I found some nice "dressy" heels at Nordstrom. So this left me with LEARNING HOW TO WALK IN HEELS! Let me just point something out to all the fellas out there... you do not know how hard it is to be a women. Seriously. Leaving aside, the pain we will (most likely) go through to bare children... we ALSO have to walk in heels. And (although I can't speak on baring children) I CAN say, heels hurt like bitch!
Which brings me to Sunday... the wedding... after spending a couple hours straightening my hair, and what not, I slipped the dress on, brushed some blush on my cheeks, and glossed my lips for the night. Not to sound conceded, but I have to say, I clean up pretty well. Now please understand that all my hard work to look good, was for the main purpose of a self confidante boost. You see this particular wedding, was of a good friend of mine who is also Guatemalan (Central American), and a well know fact is that about, oh 99.99999% of Central Americans are about 5'ft. tall... no greater.... which puts me (5'10ft. and with heels, well over 6'ft.) the tallest one there... (not excluding the guys). So I truly was there for the celebration. And it was a great wedding, steak and lobster, salad, pasta, good cake and great music. What else can you ask for?

Monday was even better. I did nothing! Ok I take it back. I laid out by the pool for a few hours, swam a little with my 3 year old cousin, and then did laundry... but it was still... a great day.
And now... work. It should be a nice short week... :)

Sounds like a fabulous weekend. I'm no good with heels, either!

Spending time in the sun and the pool sounds like a wonderful way to spend a day off.
